John Jackson

John Jackson holds a Master's degree in Music Education from Troy (formerly Troy State) University, where he served in Troy's famous concert band directed by Dr. John M. Long.

John taught band for 11 years, and has conducted Montgomery's Capitol Sounds Concert Band since August 2003.

In June 2006 he became full-time band and music director for the City of Montgomery (Parks and Recreation Department).

An accomplished percussionist, John joined MaxxBrass in February 2007.
